Job Description

IT Minds is currently seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our client's team in Mississauga. As a Mainframe Developer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise to product-aligned teams, designing and developing mainframe application components to meet project requirements, and ensuring the successful delivery of feature break fixes and small enhancements. Your proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, CICS, and JCL will be essential in driving the success of various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Must have worked in mainframe application development which uses VSAM and DB2 data sources In depth experience with mainframe tools like Changeman
  • Mainframe application components to meet project requirements for feature break fix small enhancements.
  • Must have skills Hands on experience in designing and building complex mainframe applications.
  • This role will be part of a learning culture where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged excellence is rewarded and diversity is respected and valued.
  • In this role the developer will provide technical skill to product aligned teams and design.
  • This role is expected to deliver high quality design and interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Providing technical proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, CICS, JCL.


Required Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of mainframe application development using VSAM and DB2 data sources.
  • Experience with mainframe tools such as Changeman.
  • Proficiency in mainframe technologies, including COBOL, CICS, and JCL.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in designing and building complex mainframe applications.
