Job Description

Our client is looking for a Mail Clerk for a 2 month contract in Halifax. This is 100% onsite role. Contract may be extended based on the requirements of the branch location.
Pay rate: $17.00/hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 5:30pm

Responsibilities
As a Mail Clerk, your duties will include:
  • Working closely with the business owner(s)
  • Providing daily and weekly updates to the management teams via email and/or phone.
  • Managing files in the branch and ensure they are secured in their designated locations.
  • Adhering to company Privacy Policies and Employee Conduct Rules.
  • Ensuring timely communication of issues / points of interest and status and early identification of emerging risk(s)
  • Adapting and remain flexible to support a broad spectrum of initiatives in an environment where business priorities may frequently shift
  • Scanning paper documents into the Ricoh copier/scanner.
  • Adhering to the company Health and Safety rules of the working location.
  • Reporting to the assigned company Retail Branch to support document filing and digitization processes.
  • Reviewing digitally filed documents to confirm accuracy and ensure they meet all requirements of the business.
  • Preparing paper documents filed in the branch for digitization
Qualifications
  • Comfortable operating a photocopier, scanner, and basic operation of a computer.
  • Microsoft Office – Excel, Teams and Outlook
  • Good communication skills
  • Professional with highly developed organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate on a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 0-2 years’ experience.
Nice to have
  • Document filing experience with basic computers skills an asset
