We currently have a great opportunity as Machine Operator Co-Op Student!
SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure product is processed, inspected, counted and packaged according to the Quality Instruction Sheet and Bill of Materials in the respective work areas. Ensure work area (machine sets or assembly area) is operating efficiently and producing quality product. When working in assembly, ensure quality product is produced per established rate. Complete assembly requirements form per job and shift time sheet. Communicate information as required at shift change to the oncoming team as well as report any problems as they occur to Supervision. Follow established safety and housekeeping procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Cutting, clipping, trimming, visual checking, counting, assembling and packaging parts
• Conducting quality checks and lot traceability
• Maintain established safety, quality and efficiency standards
• Read and follow assigned Instruction Sheets/ Bills of Material
• Specific housekeeping duties and filling in appropriate 5S forms
• Complete required information system Production Requirements Form for each job and associated timesheet
• Other duties as assigned
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives (Customer Driven Teams)
• Input into production control information system (Mattec) and/or timesheets

MACHINERY/ EQUIPMENT USED:

• Clippers (hand and floor), sonic welding, scales, tape machines (hand and floor) stamp, grinders, paging system, Mattec system, Hydra System, bagging machines, bar code machine, jigs, fixtures, conveyors, etc.
• Personal protective equipment as required

WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS:

• Standing/walking - entire shift - concrete floor
• Noise - range from 75 - 85 D.B.A.
• Non-climate-controlled production plant environment
• Lifting - light to moderate (up to 35 lbs)
