Position Overview

Calian is currently seeking motivated and experienced SME/Training Evaluators to join our team in the Marine Engineer (MarTech) or Marine Electrician (MarElec) fields to help assist our client with the assessment and evaluation of classes on site at CFB Esquimalt. The successful candidates will be responsible for attending multiple classes of different subjects within the MarTech/Elec fields as required. This includes evaluating instructors for performance and ensuring that the information being taught aligns with the curriculum. The Training Evaluator will play a key role in guiding the development and providing feedback to improve the training programs being evaluated.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze training materials, resources, and assessments to ensure alignment with learning objectives and desired outcomes
• Collaborate with program managers, subject matter experts, and instructors to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of training programs
• Maintain accurate records of evaluations and feedback provided
• Attend multiple classes within the MarTech/Elec fields as required
• Provide feedback to instructors and program managers on areas for improvement in training delivery and content
• Evaluate instructors for performance, ensuring adherence to curriculum and training standards

Qualifications

• Must have 7 years of Navy related experience in the Marine Engineer (MarTech) or Marine Electrician (MarElec)
• Must live within working distance to CFB Esquimalt
• Must have some experience with training and delivery, curriculum development and design, and/or learning evaluation
• Must be a citizen of Canada and currently hold or be able to obtain a valid Reliability security clearance with PWGSC
• Must have advanced skills with MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
