Job Description
Job Title: Development Payment Coordinator
Primary Location: Vancouver, BC
Job Status: Full Time, Permanent
Primex Investments Ltd. (Primex) is a BC-owned and operated real estate investment company. With more than $500 million in assets under management and 150+ staff province-wide, Primex is a leader in the development and operation of multi-family residential rental housing in BC. Founded in 1972, Primex, through its wholly owned property management subsidiary, Pacific Cove Property Management Ltd., provides rental accommodation to almost 3,000 families and individuals in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan. Our talented in-house team includes specialists in acquisitions, finance, development, construction, marketing, leasing, and property management.
We are currently seeking a Development Payment Coordinator to join the team at our Vancouver head office. The Development Payment Coordinator will work with the Development team and report to: Director of Development.
What You Are Great At Doing
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Review invoices for correct attachments (per Development Guidelines) and billing entity. Following up with vendor for correction as required.
  • Consulting with Development Managers to track various fees and coordinate payment to the appropriate party.
  • Tracking expenses and compiling expense reports for Development Team members (submitted monthly).
  • Tracking security bonds and Letters of Credit, following up when bond release is due, and ensuring that payments/refunds are received.
  • Coordinating development incentives (Fortis, BC Hydro, Telus, etc.).
  • Updating the billing tracker to ensure all invoices are processed internally.
  • Providing accurate cost coding to invoices.
  • Receiving and organizing development invoices. Forwarding to approvers as required and following up to ensure that approvals are completed on time per billing guidelines.
  • Advising the Development Team when cost commitments require budget revisions.
  • Assisting with updating cost trackers with fee expectations and cost to date.
  • Following up with Accounting Team to ensure payments are issued per Primex Development Payment Guidelines.
  • Updating development budgets with cost to date as provided by the accounting team.
What You Need To Be Successful
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong document tracking and Excel skills.
  • Post-secondary Payment Coordinator related Degree/Diploma/Certificate or equivalent Payment Coordinator related experience.
  • Self-starter.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant real estate development experience.
  • Leadership in ethical standards and integrity.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to organize multiple priorities.
