As the Lead Generation Specialist, you have a passion for the intersections of marketing, sales and technology and are willing and able to play a critical role in creating and executing Lead Generation strategies targeted at engineering decision makers in large Fortune 1000 companies across North America. The successful candidate will create, measure, and optimize automated demand generation strategies. You will report to the Director of Business Development and work with our Marketing Leader to align your outreach messaging with our corporate brand. Your day-to-day will revolve around building, developing, executing, and measuring digital campaigns and will include direct one-to-one prospect communication with qualified leads with the goal to generate direct meetings with our business development team.

A Look into the Lead Generation Specialist at Fidus 


  • Demonstrate expertise and creativity in sourcing lead contact information (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LinkedIn Sales Insights, email lists and contact lists etc.).
  • Develop prospect and lead nurturing sequences using best practices for automation, reporting and cadences.
  • Nurture leads as they move through the journey from awareness through to conversion until they are ready to be handed over to the business development team.
  • Analyze data and reporting metrics in a concise manner to show benefits and results.
  • Execute cold contacting via email, LinkedIn and direct reach.
  • Look at campaign metrics and suggest creative optimizations to improve output.


Attributes & Qualifications Required:


  • 1-2 years of experience as a sales development representative, or in a lead or demand generation role in a B2B environment, ideally with a professional services organization.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, time management, conflict resolution, relationship and multi-tasking skills.
  • Firm understanding of reputation, demand generation, and marketing pipeline model.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Experience and proficiency with the latest digital marketing and lead generation automation tools.
  • Sales focused mindset and naturally tenacious and persistent.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting marketing data analytics.
  • Comfortable being measured on generating leads and converting to qualified leads.
  • Creative in generating new ideas and methodologies for finding and nurturing leads.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field or the equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Pardot marketing automation platform and analytic tool.
