We are currently recruiting a Entry Level Laborer to assist our tower crane and hoist crews in Kamloops, BC . This is an excellent way for the right candidate to start a career. The successful candidate could move into a carpentry apprentice role after several years of experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer
• Inventory counting and management
• Perform maintenance
• Unloading and loading materials
• Degrease cranes and skips
• Assist tower crane and hoist technicians with any duties they need help with
• Cleanup and organization

Working Conditions

• Combination of inside and outside work. Appropriate dress required.
• One paid 15 minute break and one ½ hour unpaid lunch break per day
• Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:45 pm.
• Long term, steady, year-round work
• Overtime and work on weekends as required.

Requirements

• Exposure to cold/hot weather. Appropriate dress required for weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time
• Ability to lift between 11 and 25 kg.
• Steel toe boots required
• Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, sharp hand tools
• Manual dexterity
• Exposure to noise, dust, pollution
• WHMIS 2015 required (we can provide)
