Junior PHP Developer
Sweets from the Earth is a commercial bakery operation at Steeles St W. and Keele, specializing in vegan, nut free and non-GMO baked goods. As one of fastest growing mid-sized companies in Canada, we are looking for experienced, well-rounded candidates to grow our team and expand the company.
As we grow, we are looking to digitize our processes and develop a custom ERP software which reduces redundancies and eliminates paper records from our operations. We are currently looking for a Junior Software Developer to work alongside our senior developer to complete this project. The incumbent will also develop and maintain a multi-brand website with custom CMS.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Development of cloud-based ERP system using PHP (Laravel).
• Work with senior developer to create test logic for new and existing ERP functionalities.
• Develop multi-brand website with custom CMS.
• Create automation for repeating database tasks.
• Create training manuals on software and office operations.
• Improve the user experience of the ERP software.
• Other office & business analytic projects as assigned.

Qualifications
• At least two years of experience in software development.
• Must have fundamental knowledge of PHP and Laravel framework.
• Fast learner to learn alongside senior resources.
• Understands how to work with APIs as well as front end technologies.
• Must have experience with MySQL and database design.
• Proficiency in fundamental front-end languages such as CSS and JavaScript.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Analytical and problem solver.
