We have an immediate opening for a Web Development Engineer in a hybrid role located in our Toronto location. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success as a full-stack engineer in a fast-paced software company.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Build and maintain features in Authentic8’s custom, web-based remote desktop client
• Collaborate with broader team to design pragmatic systems / solutions that balance long-term future-proofing with near-term delivery constraints
• Document, test and internally support all the functionality of builds
• Research and develop new web-based capabilities to enhance our platform and products

Skills:

• Proven ability to flex between rapid prototyping and production-quality code
• Willing and able to independently research and learn new technologies as needed
• Familiarity with VueJS, ReactJS, and or other modern JavaScript frameworks
• Creative problem solving to crack problems with no clear answer
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Collaborative attitude; able to work with Eng, QA, Ops and PM
• Mastery of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and DOM manipulation
• Proficiency with development tools such as jira, git, bash, etc

Highly Desired:

• Proficiency in other software languages such as Python, C++, etc…
• Familiarity with Android app development and deployment
• Background in cyber security

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of frontend web development experience (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
• BS in Software Engineering (or equivalent)
