Job Description

It’s an exciting time to be part of Give and Go!


We're currently looking to hire a Power Platform Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, which includes Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint working with business users and stakeholders to understand their needs and create custom solutions to automate processes and improve data analysis and visualization.


What You Will Get to Do:

  • Ensure the solutions built using the Power Platform are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and management on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Contribute across all phases of a project (e.g., Plan, Analyze, Design, Build, Test, and Deploy).
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to understand stakeholder pain points and troubleshoot as challenges arise.
  • Monitor SharePoint software for any glitches or problems, troubleshooting issues promptly and seeking out solutions in a timely manner.
  • Provide training to those who request it regarding SharePoint usage.
  • Address questions or concerns from business owners or directors regarding the function of the software.
  • Keep up to date with new Power Platform features and capabilities and recommend solutions accordingly.
  • Design, develop and deploy solutions using the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI), and SharePoint.
  • Identify areas and processes where Power Platform, and SharePoint can be better leveraged and facilitate process improvement.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing solutions, and work with other development teams to integrate Power Platform solutions with other systems.
  • Automate business processes with Power Apps and Power Automate; and create Power BI dashboards to visualize the output.
  • Provide technical support for SharePoint users throughout the company


Recipe for Success:

  • PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals
  • Collaborates with the other members of the ITS Power Platform team, business stakeholders, and other IT professionals to identify needs, define a solution to meet those needs, and implement the working, timely solution.
  • Deep Understanding of the Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents, and SharePoint.
  • The ability to build custom business solutions using the low-code/no-code capabilities of the Power Platform.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing industry is an asset.
  • 1 year of experience in Power Platform/PowerApps Development role.
  • Knowledge of how to customize and configure the Power Platform to meet specific business needs, including the creation of custom connectors, custom APIs, and custom controls.
  • The ability to integrate the Power Platform with other systems and data sources, including on-premises systems, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, including technical and non-technical team members.
  • Completion of college diploma or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • The ability to understand and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Understanding of project management tools and software, such as JIRA to log and update the project progress.
  • Designs, builds, configures, develops, and enhances Microsoft Power Platform solutions, leveraging knowledge of best practices and capabilities, and industry standards of the platform.
  • Conducts research on emerging technologies in support of system development efforts, and recommends solutions that will increase cost-effectiveness, system flexibility, and security.
