Junior Data Analyst - Sql

Our non-profit client is looking for a Junior Database Developer - SQL to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will operate on a flexible hybrid model located right at the Yonge and Bloor subway in Toronto.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 + health benefits after 3 months + vacation + 10 sick days + Christmas shut down + RRSP plan after 1 year

Reporting to the Data Architect and Deputy Registrar, the successful candidate will:

• Ensuring appropriate testing of functionality and troubleshooting any issues;
• Updating User Guide and related technical documentation outlining programming features and instructions for staff
• Ensuring queries are optimized for speed and scalability;
• Management of relational database by maintaining data integrity, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to documentation of guidelines
• Participate in determining requirements, development of specifications and design of solutions within the database management system and its interface with other internal software applications (e.g., MS Office, MS Excel), and implementing approved solutions;

Qualifications and experience:

• Highly skilled with Word and Excel
• 1-3 years relevant experience
• Proficiency in MS Access is an asset.
• 1 year experience administering SQL relational databases, developing queries and providing technical support
• Good understanding of Windows environment and relationship with relational databases
• Post-secondary diploma / degree in the field of computer science, information systems or equivalent, coupled with relevant, on-going education in relational database technologies.
• Successful completion of SQL certification is an asset.
