Ubisoft Halifax is looking for a Junior Data Analyst (co-op) to join the Live Ops team and to work alongside Ubisoft Halifax’s Production Teams in supporting current and future projects. As a Junior Data Analyst (co-op), you will work to model players, and game economies in order to support a data driven development process and operations of diverse mobile games titles. You will be performing detailed data analysis to provide teams with meaningful insights, and support in key product decisions. Throughout the co-op placement, it will be expected that the incumbent utilizes the supports, resources and talented individuals throughout the company to effectively grow into an autonomous member of the Live-Ops Team!

Qualifications

• A demonstrated interest in Data Analytics, Data visualization, and Database Management.
• Experience utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills across interdisciplinary teams.
• A degree, certificate, and/or diploma considered an asset.
• A demonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a team.
• An illustrated aptitude in finding solutions to complex technical and/or systems challenges.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex SQL queries in order to extract data from RedShift
• Support the generation of quantitative analyses that translate data into actionable insights
• Learn to autonomously develop and maintain the most relevant reporting systems for Creative and Management teams to make insightful decisions within Learn about and support Game Production teams in developing testing strategies for the effective measurement of in-game features and player behaviour.
• Create and manage ETL workflows to manage and organize data in databases.
• Participate in the process of designing and implementing the telemetry within our mobile games.

Mandatory Skills

• Excellent quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical ability
• Advanced SQL skills(Joins, Window functions, and Aggregate functions etc.) with hands-on experience, preferably for an internet or technology company
• Designing good ways of communicating, visualizing or reporting results and analysis
• Good knowledge in data visualization tools (Tableau, QlikView)
• Excellent communication skills

Bonus Skills

• Experience in tools such as R or Python
• Passion for video games and an understanding of the mobile and free-to-play games market
