Role Description

The Junior Cloud engineer role at Pragra is a hybrid, full-time position based in Toronto, ON, with flexibility for some remote work. The Junior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for maintaining cloud infrastructure and ensuring its security, scalability, and reliability. The role includes configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of cloud components, and the candidate will be an integral part of a team implementing secure and efficient cloud applications and solutions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and networking protocols.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to conceptualize, design, and deliver projects from inception to execution.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Azure, and proficiency in cloud-specific languages, is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of DevOps processes, tools, technologies, and methodologies. Version control, infrastructure as code (IAC), automation, and testing frameworks are required.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or ECS is preferred
