Technical Trainers deliver instructor-led training (classroom or online) on Java and Spring Boot, and microservices skills to our customers, partners, and employees. This position requires at least two to three years training experience, at least 7 years of hands-on experience with Java, and has experience with following: Java/J2EE, Web Services, REST, Frameworks, JQuery, CI/CD, JMS, Microservices, and Spring Security features.
Responsibilities
- Conduct customer, partner, and employee training using a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods, both online and in-person, creating an engaging learning experience
- Experienced in RDBMS and SQL/PLSQL. Unit testing frameworks JUnit, Mockito
- Experience with the design and implementation of cloud-ready applications and deployment pipelines on large-scale container platform clusters is a plus
- Experience working with SOA & Micro-services utilizing REST, SOAP etc.
- Provide timely feedback to curriculum development teams, review and test course materials and hands-on labs
- Hands-on experience in building an enterprise scale highly componentized application using Java, Hibernate, and Spring Framework
- Mentor and train instructors as part of our certified trainer program
- Deliver instructor-led training (classroom or online) on Java 8+, and Angular/React skills.
- Ability to travel and deliver training engagements approximately 70-80% of the time, where COVID-19 guidance allows

- Curriculum development and instructional design experience is an asset
- Recent experience in a fast-paced, multinational technology company
- Oral presentation skills, interpersonal communication, and writing skills
- Nice to have experience with, or an aptitude to learn and author in, a content management environment, using tools such as Microsoft Word, MadCap Flare, and Camtasia
- Passion for teaching, learning, and customer engagement
- Industry and vendor certifications in relevant technologies are an asset
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- The primary language requirement is English or Spanish
- Experience with learning management systems and e-learning development tools
Experience & Education
- Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant degrees
- Proficient in industry-standard best practices such as Design Patterns, Coding Standards, Coding modularity, Prototypes etc.
- Minimum of two years of technical training/courseware development experience
Details/Logistics
- Competitive compensation per hour of billing.
- Part-time, about 6 hours per week, with the ability to stay in your full-time job; the role will require weekend availability and 1 session in the evening (online on zoom).
