Job Description

We are currently looking hiring anIndustrial Electrician in Orangeville, ON.


Responsible for:

  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate test instruments and circuit diagrams.
  • Follow all safety precautions and procedures.
  • Records results and reports results as per procedures.
  • Resolving unplanned equipment downtime issues and supporting ongoing continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain and repair electrical/electronic/electromechanical systems.
  • Ensure that all equipment is safe before releasing to production and perform all electrical Preventative Maintenance-related inspections.
  • Daily maintenance of all mechanical equipment in the plant, and ensuring all preventative maintenance is completed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the electrical code of Ontario..
  • Must be highly motivated with self-discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of North American experience in a maintenance role or skilled trade working in a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Must be available to work rotating shifts, overtime or on call as required.
  • Troubleshooting skills with the ability to repair and maintain equipment and machinery.
  • Must have gone through electrical trade school and apprenticeship in Canada.
  • Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Extensive experience reading and interpreting electrical and electronic control schematics.
  • Ability to perform hands-on maintenance duties, including bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting/carrying heavy objects.
  • Forklift experience would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic system.
  • Intermediate to Expert knowledge of PLC programming and Robotics.
  • Vocational/Technical Certification - Certified Industrial Electrician (442A Certified).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Rate of Pay:$39.00 per hour.


Shifts:12-hour continental shift, days only, 7am - 7pm.
