Job Description
Your Opportunity:


Reporting to the Director, Alberta Kidney Care North, the Implementation and Operational Lead will lead the development of quality standards for the Alberta Kidney Care North (AKC-N), the execution of the new model of care and support the developmental needs of the AKC-N team. The Implementation and Operational Lead will use their considerable project management, change management and process improvement experience and education to provide project management as the AKC-N model spreads across the Edmonton Zone and province.


Description:


The role is responsible for: Day to day process and change management leadership for the various AKC-N team members and the program team members that we collaborate with; this may include staff development, process optimization, refining complex systemic pathways into simplified pathways that facilitate the use of AKC-N, and sharing the work of the AKC-N with internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with the operational and medical leadership as well as the frontline team within AKC-N to identify and improve opportunities for patients receiving AKC-N care. Leading teams through design processes to solve challenges identified. Bringing clinical improvement focus to innovative design sessions. Establishing their role as an influencer of change across the continuum of care. AKC-N project management (scoping, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Leading risk management, and quality and safety activities (including accreditation, program performance monitoring, QI and patient flow activities). Supporting the Patient Care Managers, as required, to meet the operational and expansion needs of the AKC-N. The AKC-N Implementation and Operational Lead works with a high degree of independence as they apply service design, change management and process improvement principles to internal projects/initiatives and uses various tools and models for project/initiative management. The AKC-N Implementation and Operational Lead identifies opportunities and facilitates engagement of various internal and external stakeholders including clinical staff, physician leaders, site management, and senior and executive leaders to develop efficient and effective health service projects/initiatives that are investigated, scoped and progressively designed in alignment with organization and site goals and objectives, starting with the AKC-N.

Required Qualifications:


Minimum 3 years of project management experience in a large & complex healthcare organization. Undergraduate degree in a related health care discipline. Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key partners internal and external to AHS. Must be self-directed and effective in team environments. Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines are essential. Proven accountability in managing large, complex projects. Strong communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:


Master's prepared in related field of Health Care Administration/Leadership. Prosci Change Management Certified. Completion of Implementation Science training. Strong working knowledge of AHS. Demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development.
