Northern Strands is currently recruiting for a team player to fulfill the role of Human Resources Coordinator. As our Organization continues to evolve and grow, this role is critical in our success. The position will report directly to the Human Resources Manager.
- Provide support and direction to other departments
- Manage employee files and create solutions for improvement and efficiencies
- Manage the full cycle recruitment and onboarding, including partnering with the hiring managers to ensure consistency
- Maintain professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality in all situations
- Manage and update HR database
- Other related duties as assigned
- Participate in the implementation of a new HRIS system
- Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations as well as company policies, practices, and procedures
- Act as first point of contact for employee concerns
- Participate and support in continuous improvement solutions for the department
- Provide administrative support for human resources department
- Manage HR documents and update as necessary
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited institution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Work, Excel
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
- Industry related experience would be considered an asset
- 2+ years of work related experience
