Heavy Equipment Technician (Het)

:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician specializing in CAT 797 Haul Truck and/or Hydraulic Shovel Maintenance & Repair. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper performance of various heavy construction and mining equipment, including dozers, haul trucks, excavators, and more. Your primary tasks will include inspecting equipment for defects and malfunctions, diagnosing faults using computerized and other testing equipment, repairing and replacing defective parts, and testing the repaired equipment to ensure it meets or exceeds manufacturer's specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct repairs and replace defective parts, components, and systems as required.
• Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults and determine the extent of repairs needed.
• Thoroughly inspect equipment to identify any defects or malfunctions.
• Specialize in CAT 797 Haul Truck and/or Hydraulic Shovel Maintenance & Repair.
• Test the repaired equipment to ensure it operates properly and meets or exceeds manufacturer's specifications.
• Perform routine checks on dozers, haul trucks, excavators, and other heavy construction and mining equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass drug tests.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with open pit mine mobile equipment.
• Extensive experience with Hitachi, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Deere, and Volvo equipment is required.
• All HET applicants are expected to have their own hand tools up to ¾ inch.
• Possess a valid Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Equipment Technician (HET).
• Completion of an aptitude test.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
