- Providing direction and support to store Department Managers on merchandising and sales optimization for their location and customer demographic.
- Regularly travelling to all store locations for training and events. While this position is located out of our Vernon head office, it has the flexibility to work remotely for the right candidate.
- Overseeing and advising on the HABA category from a corporate perspective, including ingredient standards, product trends and offerings, sales optimization and promotions.
- Collaborating with key corporate departments, such as HR and marketing, to create and execute in-store and online beauty events, activities and campaigns.
- Passionately advocating and influencing sustainability practices within the department.
- Developing and delivering innovative training programs for team members focusing on skin analysis, make-up application and creative ethical selling techniques.
- Developing strategies to increase sales and improve customer experience on an ongoing basis.
- Remaining current on industry trends through research and maintaining strategic relationships with key vendors to ensure we are carrying new and trending items.
- You can easily adapt to shifting priorities, taking a systematic and analytical approach
- You have communication skills that are based on an open, collaborative and solution-focused mindset
- You have a strong leadership presence and a proven ability to engage, inform and influence others
- You have a passion for clean beauty and passing on your knowledge to team members and customers
- You are service oriented–you understand the importance of creating a memorable customer experience and applying that within the health and beauty category
- You are open to new ideas or challenges that may come your way
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit, with a high degree of self-motivation and strong business acumen; you know how to get things done collaboratively
- Previous experience providing hands-on and distance training opportunities
- Experience in skin care and natural health required
- 3+ years in a leadership or mentorship capacity an asset
- Creativity and the ability to turn ideas into opportunities
- Demonstrated knowledge of the organics and ethical beauty industry
- Knowledge of industry trends and pricing strategies
- Experience and/or education as a make-up artist, esthetician or related specialty is essential
- Experience in a sales or retail setting
- Excellent relationship management and networking skills
- Proven ability to train on key aspects of the clean cosmetics industry, including product ingredients, USP’s and formulations
