Job Description
To strengthen our Business Continuity and Organizational Resilience activities, we are seeking a global Head of Crisis Management (based in Europe, location to be agreed).


This role will report to the Head of Trade & Security, within the Legal & Integrity function, but will work closely with key stakeholders and subject matter experts in other functions and Business Units.


Responsibilities


  • Maintain Crisis Management policies, processes and procedures and build awareness of these throughout the organization.
  • Support Business Units and functions to develop Crisis Management and Business Continuity programs.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support the maturity of their Crisis Management and Business Continuity activities through consistent coordination to plan, improve, and assess plans through exercise.
  • Contribute to the specification, assessment and deployment of new technologies aimed at improving Crisis Management and Business Continuity.
  • Ensure Crisis Management policies, processes and procedures are appropriately embedded in our governance framework.
  • Champion, lead and manage Crisis Management activities globally throughout the organization.
  • Develop and deliver scenario-based exercises, foster stakeholder participation, and document best practices and areas of opportunity.
  • Develop and deliver Crisis Management training (in collaboration with the Security team) to key stakeholders to reflect most recent industry trends and internal standards.
  • Manage 3rd party Crisis Management and Business Continuity software to support Crisis Management and Business Continuity activities.
  • Proactively lead and support crisis response activities in a variety of crisis situations.
  • Assess stakeholder output, provide constructive feedback, and coach with the goal to mature Business Continuity capabilities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise input to due diligence, RFP, Risk Management and audit enquiries, with regards to Crisis Management.


Background


  • An ability to understand business operations from the top level down and bottom-up structured thinking to understand the multi-dimensional nature of the business e.g., corporate, region, business unit, site, functions, interdependencies, and critical processes.
  • Customer and solution orientated with a communicative personality.
  • Ability to work independently to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive results to completion.
  • Knowledge of the energy sector and experience in working in the energy industry.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation, training, and reporting.
  • A demonstrated focus on continuous improvement.
  • High-level critical thinking and excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Leadership experience in Crisis Management situations.
  • At least 10 years’ experience working in or with in large multinational organizations.
  • Willingness to travel (20%)
  • Resident in Europe (location to be agreed)
  • Hands-on and problem-solving mentality to challenge “status quo”.
  • Highly proficient user of MS Office applications and ERP systems (SAP).
  • University degree in Economics, Law, Security, IT, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Significant (5-10 years) Project Management experience.
  • Fluent English. Additional languages an asset.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual mindset, with good attention to detail.
  • Willingness to develop the role and scope.
