About The Role
The Growth Marketing team is responsible for bringing Shopify to the world’s entrepreneurs. We’re seeking an experienced, data-driven marketer to help accelerate our merchant growth. You will be responsible for expanding the reach of our direct mail program to new audiences globally with the primary goal of driving new merchant acquisition to Shopify’s product suite. As the owner of these strategies, you will own these campaigns end-to-end and will build our understanding of product / channel fit, value proposition, creative / storytelling and audience reach to scale the program while improving our effectiveness in acquiring new merchants.
Responsibilities:

• Be the internal expert on all things Direct mail and develop a strong POV on the future of the space, which informs long-term investments and strategies
• Build an understanding of creative performance, message testing, and channel fit for Shopify to effectively reach these target merchants
• Partner with Analytics and Data Science teams to develop a strategy to measure the campaign effectiveness and marketing investment ROI
• Inform annual marketing investment planning and strategy with growth marketing leadership
• Identify, establish, and manage 3rd party partner relationships (e.g., print houses, data providers, other ecosystem partners)
• Develop the playbook and testing agenda to expand the reach of direct mail to new audiences
• Analyze performance trends and pinpoint opportunities for improvement and growth

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage and grow marketing channels
• Customer marketing experience; able to connect the right and left brain of marketing strategies
• Strong data and analytical skills
• Experience managing external agencies and track record of growing partnerships - both internal and external
• Dynamic “self-starter” with an ownership mindset and bias towards action
• 5 to 10 years of experience, ideally within fast-moving, growth-stage consumer or technology businesses
• Ability to define acquisition strategy, outcomes, measurement and optimization plans leveraging data and consumer insights
