Job Overview

As the Global Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of our organization on a global scale. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting, as well as providing strategic financial guidance to key stakeholders. This is a highly visible and influential position that requires a strong understanding of global financial practices, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust financial control systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple international entities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial controls, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with international accounting standards.
• Monitor and analyze global market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards and their application in a complex global business environment.
• Prior experience in the Architecture & Design industry is considered an asset.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in progressively responsible financial roles, including experience in a global or multinational organization.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, consolidation, and reporting processes.
