Job Description
We are looking for an experienced General Laborer to join our and distribution team in Coquitlam, BC on a temporary to permanent full time basis.
We have branches across Canada and our Western branches have been servicing BC and Alberta for more than 50 years. Our distribution facility located in Coquitlam, BC is the largest wholesaler distributor of mechanical insulation products. We have products for applications ranging from low temperature cryogenic to high temperature refractory, and everything in between. We maintain the largest inventories in Canada of all our major products lines such as: Fiberglass, Mineral Fiber, Foamglass®, Polyisocyanurate, Styrofoam, Calcium Silicate, and Ceramic Fiber. As the General Labor Associate you will be responsible for picking, packing, strapping and preparing orders from shipment, loading and unloading trailers, putting away stock, filling customers orders to company standards, warehouse maintenance, supporting where needed while following all safety protocols and procedures. Previous Sit Down Counterbalance experience and external ticket is an asset for this role.
This is a full-time position with an immediate start date
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shifts: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Wage: $22-$24/HR (based on level of experience)

Responsibilities
Manually unload trailers
Pick, pack and put away stock
Fill customer’s orders to company standards
Prepare orders for in town and out of town shipments
General warehouse duties with a focus on safety and adherence to our ISO 9000 standards
Inventory counts, reporting inaccuracies
Maintain and operate equipment in a safe manner
Maintain a clean and safe work environment; daily organization
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications
You bring previous experience in a like-minded facility or position
Proficient operation of Sit Down Counterbalance with external ticket is an asset
Proficiency in picking, packing, packaging, regular stock transfer, RF scanner and inventory control required
You have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
Team player, adaptable, and energetic with a positive professional attitude when working individually or as a team
Are great at communicating with others in both verbal and written format
The right candidate will have a positive attitude, up beat energy and is comfortable to be trained on new processes
Can meet physical requirements of the role; ability to carry, lift, move product/supplies in excess of 50lbs; can stand, push, bend and lift for 8 hours
You are comfortable with 90% manual labor and flexible to support where needed
You are reliable and looking to work 40 hours a week
You have Steel Toe Boots; all other PPE provided
You are legally permitted to work full-time in British Columbia and are located in the Coquitlam region
