Job Description

Our client is seeking aJunior DevOps Engineer to develop DevOps pipelines for an Azure Data Lake implementation. (Onsite in Edmonton; 5 days a week).

Must Haves:

  • Understanding ofAgiledevelopment methodologies and practices
  • Cloud computing,data pipeline development
  • 2+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field


Nice to Have:Experience with Azure DevOps and related technologies such

  • PySpark notebooks
  • Azure Resource Manager
  • Azure Synapse Analytics


Responsibilities:

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in DevOps and cloud computing and make recommendations for incorporating them into projects.
  • Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure using tools such as Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager
  • Continuously review and improve existing processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for deploying applications.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to enable efficient and reliable data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Monitor data quality, troubleshoot data-related issues, and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployment and infrastructure management tasks.
