• LOCATION: Remote - Canada (TimeZone: CST | Partial overlap)
• HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $90/hr
• JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)

THE OPPORTUNITY
Requirements
You should have:

• 6+ years of experience working on zero to one engineering
• Experience in the fintech space preferred
• Intellectual curiosity; you love learning and love solving hard problems like consumer credit
• Bias towards action; autonomy is key in our client's small team
• An eye for detail; they're dealing with their customer's financial wellbeing and can't afford to mess it up
• An obsession with delightful consumer-facing UI

The tech stack:

• Typescript (React)
• CSS, styled components
• While you don’t need to be an expert in the entire tech stack, you should be able to comfortably write Typescript (or JavaScript) and React.
• Vercel (Next) for web app hosting

What you’ll be working on
Our client is hiring a Frontend Engineer to accelerate the development of their brokerage product. This candidate will collaborate with the Founding Engineer and Founding Designer to build the updated landing page and the initial product UI. All of these have been designed and much of the frontend business logic completed, so they are looking for a top-notch UI-focused engineer to make the consumer experience truly delightful.
