Front Reception / Night Audit - C Hotel

The C Hotel by Carmen’s is a chic retreat located in Hamilton. At the heart and soul of the C Hotel’s success is a remarkable team, who have been nationally recognized for their sincere and attentive service, flawless performance and culinary excellence.

We are seeking a part-time candidate with excellence in the area of Guest Services to fill the Night Audit shift on Fridays & Saturdays.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Manage and resolve all guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner
• Report hotel financial records and create reports in accordance with the Carmen’s Group accounting team
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a timely manner
• Audit all in house guests’ portfolios for completeness and accuracy
• Provide a warm, engaging and personalized experience for our guests
• Roll front desk computers to next business day
• Use persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services available at the Hotel
• Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers
• Exercise good judgment and demonstrate leadership abilities

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Friendly, professional and customer service focused
• Strong problem solving abilities
• Previous experience using a POS system an asset
• Experience using OPERA considered an asset
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a Guest Services Agent or Night Auditor
• Smart Serve Certified
• High School Diploma required, completion of college or university program in hospitality management is considered an asset
• Availability to work 11:00pm until 7:00am on Fridays and Saturdays
