Job Description

Pizza Hut (PH) Canada is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our Operations team in a Franchise Business Coach role, reporting to the Delivery Lead. We are looking for someone who thinks outside the box and is passionate about achieving exceptional outcomes. Working closely with the other Franchise Business Coaches within the Operations Team and collaborating with various departments, this position is responsible for driving impactful initiatives within the Operations department and providing guidance to franchisees to enhance sales, profits, and operational standards.


This job description encompasses the core duties and responsibilities but is not exhaustive in scope. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional strategic thinking abilities, strong project management skills, and a deep commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences. The key areas of focus for this role include:


Franchisee Management:

  • Support the Development Managers during new store openings and store resales.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Pizza Hut Canada.
  • Collaborate with franchisees and Above Restaurant Leaders to analyze and improve the financials and overall performance of franchise restaurants, ensuring adherence to business and operating standards.
  • Assess readiness of store teams for new product launches, provide guidance to franchise teams post-launch, and evaluate the impact of in-store execution.
  • Effectively implement new initiatives (e.g., product launches, technology enhancements, process improvements, marketing, and promotional programs) to drive sales growth.
  • Monitor restaurant performance through various metrics (e.g., speed of service, daily sales reports, monthly P&L accounts) and collaborate with franchisees to implement appropriate solutions.


Project Management:

  • Being a strategic Project Manager, collaborate & communicate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to effectively execute large-scale projects.
  • Assess, conceptualize, design, plan, and project manage key operational initiatives from start to finish, fostering operational excellence across all franchisee organizations and assets in Pizza Hut Canada while understanding the needs of customers and team members.


Change Leadership

  • Take ownership of developing future operations programs for Pizza Hut, including layouts, tools, systems, equipment, and product innovation.
  • Ensure that the operations and restaurant teams possess the necessary capabilities to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive business growth, and fulfill the strategic vision.
  • Tasks include stakeholder collaboration and communication, fostering internal team cohesion, understanding customer needs, and managing competing priorities.


Enhancing the Customer Experience

  • Take ownership of restaurant processes, maintaining and adapting them as necessary to meet business needs.
  • Track, analyze, and address customer concerns, identifying systematic solutions and presenting actionable information to relevant stakeholders.


Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience


  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proactive, creative, and flexible mindset with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and streamlining processes.
  • Capability to juggle between being an individual contributor & a team player
  • Bachelor's Degree: preference given to candidates with technology proficiency
  • At least 3 years of operational experience, preferably in a multi-unit capacity within a national franchise model.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Confident, reliable, demonstrating initiative
  • Strategic thinking ability, Analytical mindset, self-Prioritization capability
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Comfortable engaging with franchisees and corporate management.
