Forklift Operator Permanent Full Time

Looking for Forklift operators with cross docking experience for an afternoon shift in Acheson !
We are currently looking for candidates who are energetic, well-experienced sit down counter balance forklift operators who wanted to work for a freight carrier offering both LTL & truckload transportation in Acheson!
You must have at least 2 years minimum forklift experience, Familiarity with an indoor warehouse setting and Experience on a cross dock, specifically with outbound loading.

Forklift Operator - afternoon shift
Location: Acheson, AB, (the candidates must have a reliable vehicle as the location isn't transit accessible)
Schedule: Monday to Friday or 2pm to 10.30pm (afternoon shift)
Salary: $21.95/hr plus shift premium after 6pm

Responsibilities
As a Forklift Operator, you will work on a fast-paced cross dock. And be involved in:

• Manual lifting up to 50 lbs
• Operating a forklift
• Sorting freight to be loaded
• Loading and unloading 53-foot van trailers, or flat decks

Qualifications

• A general knowledge of the transportation industry
• Experience on a cross dock
• 2-5 years’ experience operating a sit down counterbalance forklift
• Strong command of the English language
• And a positive attitude
• Basic computer skills are required
• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid Canadian work permit.
• Experience loading and unloading LTL trailers using a forklift
• Experience handling dangerous goods considered an asset
