Our firm is seeking a junior family law associate (1st or 2nd year call to the bar). We are a growing, dynamic and busy law firm located in South Surrey. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task efficiently, work independently and in a team environment. We offer full accounting support, along with a friendly work environment.

Key responsibilities:
Research legal issues and preparation of documents, such as pleadings, briefs, memorandums and affidavits;
Responsible for managing family law files;
Ability to find ethical solutions to legal matters;
Ability to identify possible positive or adverse outcomes and keep clients informed at all times;
Ability to develop strategies to maintain client confidence, resolve cases favorably for clients in a cost-effective manner.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates must have 0 - 2 years of family law experience (mentorship will be provided)
Be a good standing member of the Law of Society of British Columbia;
Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal and public speaking skills;
Focused and team orientated;
Strong drafting and communication skills;
Able to successfully and efficiently manage multiple tasks and files;
Excellent technical, analytical and problem solving skills;
Strong legal research skills;
Ability to identify and maintain file strategies;
Excellent attention to detail; and
Strong time management skills.
Compensation:
We offer a fee split compensation structure.
