Position Overview:
As our Senior Family Law Associate, you will play a crucial role in representing our clients' interests and helping them navigate the complexities of family law. Your expertise, strong advocacy skills, and compassionate approach will contribute significantly to the success of our clients' cases and the growth of our firm.
Responsibilities:
- Legal Expertise: Utilize your 5-10 years of specialized family law experience to handle a diverse range of cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, property division, and domestic violence matters.
- Continuous Growth: Stay current with developments in family law legislation and procedures, elevating your expertise through ongoing learning and professional development.
- Attention to Detail: Display meticulous organizational skills and an eye for accuracy when preparing legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Effective Communication: Showcase excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate legal advice clearly and confidently to clients and colleagues alike.
- Confidentiality and Integrity: Uphold the highest levels of professionalism, ensuring strict adherence to client confidentiality and maintaining the integrity of the firm.
- Time Management: Exemplify exceptional time-management capabilities, handling multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines and delivering quality work.
- Client Representation: Serve as a dedicated advocate for our clients, ensuring their rights and interests are protected during negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings.
- Independence and Teamwork: Be a self-driven individual who thrives in an autonomous setting while maintaining a strong collaborative spirit within our close-knit team.
- Analytical Prowess: Demonstrate strong analytical abilities to dissect complex legal issues and devise effective strategies tailored to each client's unique situation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Familiarity with Divorcemate and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- 5-10 years of experience practicing family law, preferably in Ontario, Canada.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Greater Toronto Area residency and willingness to travel to courts within the GTA.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime when required.
Salary and Benefits:
- Fully remote position, with the exception of in-court appearances.

- Four weeks of paid vacation.
- Competitive full-time annual salary starting at $200,000.00.
