What You’ll Be Doing


Personal and Business Banking provides a full range of financial products and services to almost 11 million personal, business and wealth clients, as well as investment management services globally to retail and institutional clients.


Reporting to the Director of Product - CRM, the Financial and Product Analyst will be responsible for independent delivery of complex projects/programs across Payment Strategy & Transformation. You will be responsible for assessing client needs, translating the needs into high level business requirements, and defining and documenting business requirements. You will also participate and support the execution of test cases as well as contribute to end-user communication, training and systems acceptance.

Important Information


  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education to be eligible, however, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for this role
  • Work Location: Further clarity on the work location will be provided at the time of your interview. Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada. All CIBC Co-op positions require you to be based in Canada for the duration of the term.
  • Duration of term: Fall 2023 (September - December). 4 or 8 month opportunities available

How You’ll Succeed


  • Relationship Management - Build ongoing partnerships with key partners across the business, including Product, Channels, Technology, Marketing and Operations. Work closely with various teams towards a common goal and negotiate deliverables and milestones, as required.
  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Agile Product Delivery - Deliver products in prioritized increments. Oversee the backlog development, testing and implementation of medium complexity capabilities. You will support the design and integration of cross functional applications.
