Position Overview


The Facility Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing management of patient care, bed utilization and administrative functions of the Hospital in the absence of Senior Administrative personnel. The Facility Operations Manager will ensure that the delivery of required health care services is consistent with the values, philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Concordia Hospital/Concordia Place. The role of this position is to be actively engaged in providing leadership to the staff to achieve the operational priorities of the organization i.e. Financial Sustainability, Patient Flow, Patient Experience, Quality / Safety, Staff Engagement and Consolidation.


Experience


  • A minimum of 5 years experience with demonstrated management and leadership skills in hospital management.


Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)


  • Bachelor Degree in a health care discipline required.


Certification/Licensure/Registration


  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Current registration in a professional association/licensure in that discipdline.


Qualifications And Skills


  • Proficient in the utilization and integration of flow improvement tools and practices: Site and regional Oculys, Medworxx.
  • Possesses a commitment to self-development.
  • Demonstrated safety and quality improvement skills.
  • Demonstrated Change Management skills and strategies.
  • Provides leadership and mentors staff in the absence of CH leadership.
  • Demonstrated skills in labor relation’s management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and participatory management style, which fosters an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment that supports quality patient care.
  • Knowledge and understanding of integration of Daily Action Rounds, ELOS/EDD, whiteboards, and ALC complex case management.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication ability.
  • Self-directed and demonstrates creative problem solving in both patient care and facility operational matters.


This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
