Summary
The Facility Manager III ensures that client facilities are operated and maintained cost-effectively, safely, efficiently as per the operating parameters of the FMSA. The primary responsibility involves infrastructure updates & planning in a Health Care facility.
In addition, the role may also be accountable for providing assistance in the Operations & Maintenance of the facility, due to Operational requirements this role is on site daily.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Develops and implements project plans for submittal / approval.
  • In collaboration with project stakeholders, defines project scope, deliverables and requirements.
  • Oversees the activities of project team members and monitors project task completion.
  • Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget and requirements, and complies with all regulatory, environmental and health and safety requirements.
  • Plans and oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects. At this level, projects managed are typically of moderate to high complexity, risk and exposure.
  • Monitors project delivery against timelines and ensures timely completion.
  • Determines resource and budget requirements, cost estimates, and timelines.
  • Identifies project risks and develops and implements mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Communicates project status to relevant stakeholders.
Client Relationship Management
  • Keeping facility users updated regarding upcoming projects.
  • Accountable for resolving issues, managing client expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with clients.
People Leadership
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Will be accountable for providing immediate supervision to a certified painter.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Self-starter, willing to learn, able to work independently
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Real Property Administrator through Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI)
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Excellent business management/development skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • FMP
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of Facility Management & Operations Management is an asset.
  • Certified Facility Manager through International Facility Management Association (IFMA)
  • Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
  • Excellent at planning and organising
  • Knowledge of building standards and requirements
  • Strong customer focus
  • Certified Property Manager through Institute of Real Estate Management
  • FMA
  • Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
  • Facility Management Administrator Designation through Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI)
