Facilities Engineer Jobs

The Facilities Engineer will: Co-ordinate weekend and shutdown activities with contractors. This includes issuing requisitions for the work, following-up with a purchase order (PO) and then scheduling the work; Work with Maintenance on a daily basis to put together Monthly Work Orders (MWO) and the ordering of the required materials to complete them. Following up of materials to make sure PO is issued, material received and delivered to the appropriate trades performing the work; Assist in shipping out materials to other plants or suppliers as required; Achieve the required number of targets such as Kaizen projects, MPI's and Safety tags each year; Send out equipment for repairs and/ or warranty; Prepare project detail sheets and justification for Non-New Model and for 5 year capital plan projects; Prepare Scope of Work (SOW) for major projects; Prepare Pre-bid meetings and minutes for major projects; Control project spending and maintaining budgets. Update and track CWO usage; Evaluate bids for technical merits, hold clarification meetings and recommend successful bid to purchasing; Review spare parts lists from contractors, set up parts for the plant, assign codes and have them readily available for breakdowns; Assist all divisions (i.e., production, maintenance, quality, safety and production control) with their Kaizen activity; Develop MWO for station rearrangements as required; Attend Weekly Safety meetings and address safety issues as they arise; Prepare WWW/WWR list after major project completions; Work with IT group in setting up PFS/ Computers on each job station including power and net drop requirements; Co-ordinate and support SPOVEN and front end repair from a process stand-point; Attend equipment review and buyoffs at supplier sites; Set up suppliers/ contractors for plant access through the Visitor's Database; Review shift notes and assist maintenance with breakdowns as required; Assist and lead WCM projects and present to auditor and plant management as required; Attend and Support Production Board reviews as required; Set up new supervisors with access to change room, office and turnstiles; Work on Radio and telephone issues in the plant; Work with Facilities group to coordinate Power, Steam, Chiller and Compressed air outages; Improve current processes with new and improved technologies; Work on Energy and Manpower Savings throughout the year; Work with ESA inspectors to make sure equipment and installations are compliant; Work on Lubrication issues for conveyors; Support Launch activities, engineering and planning meetings; and perform other duties as required.
The Facilities Engineer must be able to adjust hours accordingly to support all three shifts as required to communicate project information, communicate changes, and manage projects.

Basic Qualifications

• Required Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (preferably in a unionized environment)
• Ability to drive short/long term maintenance activities
• Able to direct a team and work with all levels of the organization
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Ability to root cause issues and identify solutions
• Proven ability to manage projects from development to implementation
• Legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• P.Eng. status
• Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Stellantis Production Way tools
