Job Description

Are you a skilled and experienced Insolvency Estate Administrator seeking a new opportunity? Our growing Licensed Insolvency Trustee firm in Toronto is currently hiring for the position of Insolvency Estate Administrator to oversee all aspects of consumer proposals and bankruptcy administration.


POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Insolvency Estate Administrator, you will take full responsibility for the comprehensive administration of estates, from preparing sign-up documents and filings with the Official Receiver to managing the entire process until the consumer proposal is completed or the bankrupt is discharged.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Prepare sign-up documents for new estates.

-File new estates and handle all related administration forms.

-Prepare creditor packages and issue stay of proceeding notices.

-Review proof of claims.

-Review voting letters and proxies and prepare minutes of meetings of creditors.

-Monitor the acceptance or rejection of proposals and issue annulment notices as required.

-Manage the realization of vested assets and the release of secured assets.

-Prepare section 170 reports and automatic discharge certificates.

-Communicate effectively with debtors and creditors.

-Follow up on returned payments.

-Handle general correspondence related to the estate administration.


REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications/Experience: Minimum of five years' experience as an Insolvency Estate Administrator. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, and Ascend.
