Prosecution Lawyer Jobs

The City of Toronto's Legal Services Division is seeking a lawyer to join its team who will provide advice and conduct complex prosecutions under the Provincial Offences Act. In this role, you will represent the City before various levels of trial and appellate courts and administrative tribunals in matters relating to a diverse range of issues and offences. You will also be required to provide legal advice on a broad range of issues

The ideal candidate will have several years post call relevant experience which includes prosecuting or defending offences under the Provincial Offences Act and/or the Criminal Code before the Ontario Court of Justice and/or the Superior Court of Justice. Your application should demonstrate your experience dealing with complex regulatory or criminal law matters before the courts. You must possess sound judgement and excellent written, oral advocacy and negotiation skills, and be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. Computer literacy is required.
