Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:


The ERP Support Specialist is responsible for providing user support and training on the Microsoft Navision systems (2015 & 2018). They will also be responsible for maintaining the Master Data to ensure optimum level of data accuracy and system integrity. Key areas of responsibility include resolving system issues, end user support and training, master data management, and maintenance of the user profiles & permissions.


The ERP Support Specialist will be a member of the Business Systems team Other tasks may include development of standard operating procedures related to the Master Data & ERP administrative processes and actively participating in various ERP related projects. May be required to participate in the implementation of the ERP related technologies to support IT and business objectives.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP & REPORTS:


This position will report directly to the Director, Information Technology


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Provide first level support for the ERP core modules including, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Distribution, Quality Control, Sales & Marketing, Reporting and any additional modules in use by the organization.
  • Responsible for the standardization of the ERP role and permission structure to simplify user security while ensuring adequate controls are in place to secure sensitive functions and data within the system.
  • Interacts with external vendors and service providers to ensure the timely delivery of products, services, and contracts.
  • Consistently looks for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide backfill for EDI Support Specialist and the ERP & BI Administrator
  • Responsible for mass updates to the Master Data and other tables using Configuration Packages or other tools.
  • Maintain ERP job scheduler and resolve job alert notifications.
  • Ensure master data quality by enforcing standard procedures for new master data record requests using standard templates for items, customers, vendors, etc., confirming the data is obtained from authorized business sources and obtaining appropriate management approvals.
  • Maintain the system security through the management of user profiles and permissions.
  • Responsible for master data standardization including cleansing and de-duplication to support continuous improvement and in preparation for future ERP upgrade/implementation projects.
  • Ensures all system configurations and standard operating procedures related to this role are fully documented and properly maintained.
  • Gain and understanding mapping to support the integration between the ERP and BI as well as any other integrated systems such as Jet Reports, etc.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures including cyber security, regulatory compliance, change control, and disaster recovery.


EDUCATION & PREREQUISITES


  • Knowledge of food regulatory, safety and HACCP requirements is an asset
  • Experience with SQL Server databases
  • 3-5 years experience providing user support on Microsoft Navision ERP
  • Experience working for a food processor or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information systems, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Skilled in report development using SQL Query, Excel Pivot Tables, Power BI

Working Requirement and Physical Demands


Employees are expected to work a minimum of 4 days per week at one of the Freshstone locations and can optionally work 1 day per week from a remote location.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, talk, hear, and sit. The employee may also be required to stand, walk, use hands to grasp and hold an object, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colour, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
