We are looking for several intermediate to senior level Environmental Planners to play an important role on our Environment and Social Impact Assessment team. If you are practical, highly motivated and a team player, we'd love to hear from you.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

• Multidisciplinary team coordination including compilation of technical documents to support regulatory submissions
• Supporting day-to-day implementation of small to large-scale multidisciplinary environmental impact assessment, permitting, compliance, and due diligence projects across multiple sectors and geographies
• Implementing consultation and engagement programs, including effectively communicating with clients, regulators, and Indigenous communities
• Report writing, research and desktop studies, with potential for participation in some field programs
• Assisting with project management duties including budget, scope, and schedule tracking
• Promoting and maintaining a positive work environment through a culture of teamwork and cooperation
• Work with our team on significant power, renewable energy, and mining projects
• Supporting business development activities, such as contributing to proposals and pre-qualification submissions

Qualifications

• Strong technical writing skills, with an ability to synthesize technical information and develop plain language summaries
• 7+ years experience required (experience in power/renewables/mining preferred)
• An understanding of international environmental and social impact assessment standards, guidelines and processes is an asset
• Ability to travel within Canada periodically, as required
• Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
• An understanding of municipal, provincial, and federal environmental impact assessment and regulatory permitting requirements
• Experience in a similar role in an environmental consulting environment is considered an asset
• Post-secondary degree specializing in a related technical environmental discipline (environmental science, planning, or engineering, ecology, environmental law/policy)
