We are excited to announce a fully-funded PhD studentship focused on developing cutting-edge gas sensors with a sustainability edge. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ก


In this exciting project, we aim to revolutionize gas sensor technology, harnessing the power of printable semiconductors to design self-powered gas sensors for various sustainability-driven applications.


While researching within the Sustainable Optoelectronics Research Group, you will pursue a ๐—ฃ๐—ต๐—— ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—˜๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐˜† ๐—˜๐—ป๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด, which will equip you with the knowledge and skillset needed to tackle the sustainability challenges of our time.

๐ŸŒŸ Bachelor's and Master's degrees in #SustainableEnergyEngineering, #ElectricalEngineering, #EngineeringScience, #MechatronicsEngineering, #ChemicalEngineering, #MaterialsScience, or #Physics.

๐ŸŒŸMinimum 1 year of research experience in gas sensor technology.

๐ŸŒŸMinimum 1 year of research experience in optoelectronic devices based on printable semiconductors (e.g., organic semiconductors, carbon nanotubes, metal oxides, and 2D semiconductors).

๐ŸŒŸDemonstrated academic excellence with a cumulative grade point average of 3.9/4.33 (or equivalent in other grading scales) in prior degrees.

๐ŸŒŸExcellent command of the English language.

๐ŸŒŸCompliance with all Simon Fraser University admission requirements for graduate studies.
