Job Description
About The Job


The Dispatch Support position assists the dispatch on-duty by completing and monitoring all loads and drivers to ensure deliveries are met and reported on-time. In addition, the Dispatch Support, will assist in various administrative duties such as reporting repairs required on equipment, email follow-ups, paperwork auditing, and updating spreadsheets. Assisting in maintaining communication between drivers, management, suppliers and customers within an appropriate timeframe is also among the required tasks. The candidate must have the ability to provide professional customer service when handling critical situations .


Your Responsibilities


  • Complete yard audits on equipment
  • Promptly respond to all customer requests with optimal customer service
  • Monitor loads and drivers utilizing various software, communicating accordingly with dispatch
  • Interact with various levels of management, drivers, safety department, operation department, suppliers & customers
  • Accurately enter times of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of delivery
  • Oversee logging concerns
  • Answer phones throughout the shift
  • Promote and adhere to DRAKKAR Logistics values
  • Maintain Various Spreadsheets, such as Tractor Repair, Trailer Repair, and daily reporting log, which includes follow-up investigations to ensure accuracy
  • Review the Driver’s Trip Sheets Upon Return to ensure all data is accurate and in TMW
  • Scan driver paperwork into systems
  • Notify Equipment Department for repairs, assist in coordinating repair and maintenance
  • Perform a variety of complex tasks in a fast paced environment with tight time constraints while maintaining accuracy of inputs


OUR OFFER


  • Temporary position with some flexibility
  • Monday to Friday shift, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
  • $17.50 per hour (depending on work experience)
  • Occasional weekend work and/or phone shift may be required


Our Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
