Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a Dock/Dispatch Supervisor who will be responsible for the planning, dispatching and managing of the local pickups and deliveries. The candidate will have industry experience, preferably within a unionized environment.

Shift Hours will be: Noon to 8:30pm Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: $22.00/HR

Responsibilities:

  • Assure compliance with TDG / Hours of Service regulations
  • Dispatch / Manage inbound operations
  • Supervise and direct a cross dock operation
  • Communicate professionally with Internal / External customers to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Data entry and daily report completion

Qualifications include:

  • The ability to analyze and problem solve in a fast pace environment
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a transportation dispatch environment
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Computer literate with sound knowledge of Gmail and Excel
  • Knowledge of Transportation Operating Systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours as necessary
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong leadership and management skills
