Director Of Operations Jobs

The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the operations of GTA Mavericks Basketball Association. The primary duties include:

1) Planning and organizing the organization’s programs, activities, tournaments and events in a cost-effective manner.

2) Working with board members on developing policies, procedures and strategic plans for the organization.

3) Supervising staff members who are responsible for all day-to-day operations.

4) Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and best practices.

5) Developing and updating operational budgets and tracking expenditures against them.

6) Overseeing the recruitment, training and development of staff members as well as volunteers.

7) Working with external vendors to ensure quality service delivery and effective cost management.

8) Developing marketing strategies for the organization’s events and programs.

9) Cultivating relationships with local and regional sponsors to obtain needed support.

10) Representing the organization at various events, conferences, seminars, etc.

11) Generating regular reports on operations to ensure transparency and accountability.

12) Building a culture of collaboration within the organization as well as externally with stakeholders in order to promote organizational objectives.

The Vice President of Operations must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Sports Administration or related field with prior experience in program administration and management. Excellent interpersonal skills, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with others are essential for success in this role. The Vice President of Operations must also be organized, detail-oriented and have a track record of program/project management success.

Prior experience playing or coaching Basketball at a high level is a strong asset.
