We’re pleased to partner with Vancity in their search for a Director, Growth Marketing. The Director, Growth Marketing is a strategic thinker that understands product portfolios, revenue models, ROI for marketing and drives growth across all lines of business, partnerships, and member communications. This role develops and leads strategies that increase acquisition of new members to Vancity, decrease attrition and increase depth of relationship.

About The Workplace


This role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, you’ll be required to attend in-person activities or events.


About The Role


  • Lead initiatives with external vendors/agencies to produce the best marketing outcomes
  • Develop marketing strategy for all lines of business to help reach organizational profitability, growth, and member engagement KPIs
  • Work in partnership with product, brand, insights, and the rest of the business to achieve strong results putting the consumer/member at the heart of decision making, consistent with the differentiated member experience
  • Develop and lead partnerships with values-aligned organizations to drive membership and lead all member communications to increase engagement and drive primacy
  • Act as a credible trusted partner and advisor by providing strategic planning, business enablement and marketing advice for all lines of business and member readiness and translate those into marketing and communications solutions
  • Manage, develop and mentor a team of engaged marketing professionals responsible for executing marketing initiatives across multiple lines of business, member communications and partnerships, while fostering an agile and data-driven culture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop research projects to gather insights on potential target audiences and membership that will inform marketing strategy and build brand equity


The salary range offered for this role is $151,000 - $180,000 plus bonus.


About You


  • Digital marketing skills to optimize digital marketing program
  • Ability to work with increasingly sophisticated, data-driven stakeholders and line of business leads
  • Knowledge in developing marketing strategies for growth
  • Knowledge of strategic business drivers and how these translate into marketing strategy
  • 15+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing, along with 8+ years of progressive and/or senior leadership experience
  • Knowledge of consumer and member communications
  • A university degree, preferably in Marketing or Business. MBA/post-graduate preferred.
  • Experience in financial services is preferred
