Job Title: Computer Patternmaker

Experience Level: Senior Level

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Experience in sample sewing and cutting, supporting the sample making team by demonstrating the proper execution of style details and addressing any questions that arise.
• Must be able to drape by hand as well create first patterns on computer using PAD system.
• Know ledge of manual/ paper pattern making.
• Lead fittings in support of design team and define clear solutions to correct fit, construction, and finishing details in a time-effective manner.
• Extensive working knowledge of corsetry pattern making and detailed inner construction.
• Work in sync with Technical Design Director to manage workflow based on production calendar, new seasonal sample development, and custom orders for brides.
• Strong knowledge of grading with understanding of adjusted proportions and style lines over broad range of sizes.
• Create original patterns based on photo references, sketches, and additional verbal/ written specifications from lead designers.
• Support Lead Designer to create patterns from their draped prototypes.
• Apply learning from customer fit feedbacks to new designs.
• Able to effectively collaborate and communicate with both in-person and remote team members, utilizing tools such as Zoom and email.
• Ability to adapt and interpret our archive patterns/fit as needed for client customizations and development updates.
• Prepare complete detailed cutters must for each new pattern and update with any changes made in fit process before it goes to production.
• Knowledge of Curve/ plus-size pattern making is preferred but not required.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Experience with 3D apparel programs Browzwear, VStitcher or CLO are a plus but not required
• With over 10 years of industry experience, specializing in pattern making and fitting, particularly within the Bridal and/or Eveningwear sectors.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to pivot and reprioritize as needed.
• Demonstrate the capacity to calmly and proactively troubleshoot, implementing cost-effective and time-efficient solutions for both oneself and fellow team members during collaborative endeavors.
• Proficient in digital pattern and must know PAD system or similar like Gerber and we can train adjustment to PAD.
• Knowledge in ERP systems such as OLOtech and Apparel Magic a plus, if not, we will train.
