Role Purpose
The Digital Media Manager is responsible for the digital media advertising strategy working with the Performance Marketing Team and coordinating with our Media Agency to execute digital marketing strategies and campaigns, and report results to higher management.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring that all promotional materials are compliant, appropriate, and competitive at all times; responsible for strict adherence to advertising standards and for working with compliance and legal teams to evolve guidelines and working practices to ensure compliance.
- Attend marketing conferences and events to ensure you are up to speed on all recent developments in the industry.
- Proactively develop programs, strategies, and promotional techniques that resonate with the target customers and business goals.
- Responsible for communicating with the representatives of all digital channels.
- Working closely with Media Agency to ensure that the best practices are being adhered to and that guidelines are strictly kept on each project. Responsible for continual development of digital expertise via external workshops/courses and internal trainings.
- Day-to-day management of budgets, targets and daily performance.
- Work closely with the BI team to optimize visit-deposit funnel performance and implement initiatives to improve overall experience and ROI.
- Review all ad campaign copy and text to ensure it delivers the maximum ROI.
- Manage and optimize all accounts and campaigns to achieve optimal return on investment and ensure accounts are always in line with recent updates and include all valuable features.
- Proactively identify market and strategic opportunities across digital channels to drive increased value from new and existing customers.
- Complete fact-based assessment and recommendations for paid search, paid social, and display – including delivery of strategy on Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, Twitter, Snapchat, Reddit, and other search, social, and display advertising platforms.
- Responsible for controlling budgets; arranging and producing detailed reports for review
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners.
- Prepare weekly reports on performance and activities including ROI analysis, campaign trends, case studies and other charts to represent the media buy activity.
- Accountable for overseeing paid search, paid social, and display working closely with our Media Agency and internal marketing leaders to develop and manage digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Monitor spend, CPA, and ROI targets by segment by channel each month as part of the overall marketing mix and complete weekly and monthly reports highlighting performance vs target, actions to address under/over performance and recommendations for following month(s).
- Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of accounts, daily and monthly budget caps, impression shares, quality scores and other important account metrics.
- Complete competitor benchmarking, landing page testing, and optimization.
Specialist Skills and Experience Required
- Knowledge of attribution techniques
- Experience managing external advertising agency relationships
- Strategic thinker with outstanding problem solving and project management skills
- Performance Marketing experience
- Results orientated individual with focus on delivery, agility and control
- Proven analytical capability and deep understanding of BI/data analytics
- Proven track record of optimizing 3rd party relationships with high profile suppliers (e.g. Meta, Google)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Minimum C2/Native English)
- Genuine ability to cope with ambiguity and drive a business experiencing considerable change
- Excellent marketing project management skills
- Experience managing budgets in significant scale and demonstrating agility and flexibility in spend and target allocation
- 4 years of experience leading a digital marketing team
- Previous experience with paid search and social marketing including proven experience of working with Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, Twitter, Snapchat, Reddit, and other search and social advertising platforms.
- Strong understanding of digital advertising legislation and codes of practice
- Significant hands-on and strategic online sports/gaming experience
- Ability to identify tracking problems
Nice to have
- A strong interest in sports will be a huge plus
- A background in gaming or sports marketing
- Experience working in a Media Agency
