• Your dedication and commitment to the well-being of the residents is unwavering, and you consistently go above and beyond to provide the highest level of care. You’ll hold a degree in dietetics or nutrition and have successfully completed an approved dietetic internship.
• Your warm smile and gentle demeanor put residents at ease, creating an atmosphere of trust and comfort.
• You have a remarkable knack for simplifying complex dietary concepts and breaking them down into practical and actionable advice that residents can easily implement.
• You exhibit remarkable attention to detail, carefully considering individual dietary restrictions and preferences when designing meal plans.
• You must also be a registered dietitian with a practising membership in the College of Dietitians of BC, with a requirement of "Restricted Activity A." Membership in the Dietitians of Canada is preferred. A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a residential care environment is preferred.
• You possess an innate ability to listen attentively, making every conversation with residents an opportunity to truly understand their needs and concerns.
• Your genuine passion for promoting healthy lifestyles is contagious; you motivate residents to make positive changes in their eating habits with your unwavering enthusiasm. Despite the challenges and demands of your role, you maintain a lighthearted and cheerful disposition.

About The Role

• Your responsibilities will include conducting nutritional assessments, ensuring ongoing follow-up, and offering professional guidance to the Food Services Department.
• You’ll embody the values of Baptist Housing and effectively model and promote them to team members and others. Additionally, you will create an environment that upholds the autonomy, independence, dignity, privacy, health, and wellness of our residents, aligning with our person-centred wellness model of care.
• You’ll be responsible for the optimal nutritional care of all residents through nutritional assessments, ongoing follow-up, and the provision of professional guidance to the Food Services Department. The position is part-time, and you’ll report to the administrator.

West Vancouver is to the northwest of the city of Vancouver on the northern side of English Bay and the southeast shore of Howe Sound, and is adjoined by the District of North Vancouver to its east. Situated on Taylor Way and Inglewood Avenue our Inglewood community is just moments down the road from Ambleside Park, Capilano Park and Capilano River Regional Park.
