A Day In The Life
The Design Assistant at lululemon supports in creating world class athletic apparel that is acknowledged as leading in innovation, design, function, fit and quality. You are guided and mentored by the Senior Design Manager and the Designers in the team. You play a key supporting role and this work is key to the success of the line each season.

• Presentation preparation - support the Junior Designer/Designer in preparation for major gates e.g, build visual decks, gather fabric and trims samples.
• Pass accurate color files including fabrics and trims to Technical Developer in partnership with color and concept team.
• In the DA role, you will shadow some critical design work to showcase and develop your design point of view
• Build trims briefs, maintain trims toolbox and act as design point person to trims development team.
• Build visual lineplans as directed by the Junior Designer/Designer
• Act as Design support - be the Designer’s right-hand person to support with day-to-day tasks: which includes the following:

Qualifications

• BA, BFA or BS in Design required (or equivalent)
• 0-2 years minimum industry experience is required
• An understanding in 3D design would be a benefit
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Excel, Word, Mac platform
