Data And Reporting Analyst

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Data and Reporting Analyst (Microsoft SQL Server/Power BI) for a permanent position with its Ottawa-based customer.

Key Tasks

• Design and manage dashboards, reports, and reporting infrastructure
• Establish and maintain data governance to protect sensitive data
• Design, optimize, and monitor automated reporting data sources
• Act as a backup resource for Microsoft SQL Server database administration
• Support the daily loads and understand the transformation and aggregation of data within the data warehouse
• Produce and maintain documentation for the reporting life cycle
• Provide troubleshooting of issues related to data integration and loads
• Analyse business requirements and design technical solutions for reporting
• Manage security on workspaces, applications, dashboards, and reports
• Other duties as assigned
• Act as a backup resource for Power BI Administration
• Provide database support for integration of data between business applications

Key Qualifications

• Must have a foundational knowledge of database administration and in particular Microsoft SQL Server
• Must have experience with Microsoft BI reporting tools and software as well as experience with Microsoft SQL Server integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services
• Minimum 6-8+ years in a Data Analyst and Reporting (or equivalent role) with significant experience in using the Microsoft family and suite of Data Services/Products

Qualifications

• College diploma in computer science or related field with eight years’ experience in information technology and Business intelligence or the equivalent
• Strong background and experience in updating and creating technical documentation related to over all database management and data analysis/reporting
• University degree in computer science or related field is preferred
