Job Description

As a member of the TELUS Health Chief Security Office (CSO) team, you will report to the Manager, Cybersecurity Risks and be responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of information security risk management activities to ensure stakeholders (up to Executive level) have an accurate and consistent view of information and cyber security risks.


What you will do



  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure relevant processes and tooling is fit for purpose for TELUS Health requirements.
  • Manage and track exemption processes as mandated by Business.
  • Complete risk assessments and risk balance cases as required and prepare timely CSO risk reports for senior leadership.
  • Align risk processes and controls to the relevant frameworks and internal systems .
  • Critically analyze and understand established and newly emerging risks and ensure quality assurance on all risk assessments. Develop recommendations for improvements as appropriate.
  • Manage the risk register and guide CSO and wider teams in documenting, classifying and evaluating potential risks, and corresponding actions within TELUS Health information systems.
  • Support risk owners and teams with the resolution and mitigation of cybersecurity risks and follow-up on required actions.



What you bring


  • PCI DSS experience is considered an asset
  • Experience with risk management processes and relevant frameworks such as CIS, NIST CSF and 800 series, and ISO 27001/2.
  • 5 or more years of experience in one or more cyber security domains (e.g., network security, vulnerability management, secure software development, cloud security, third party risk management, governance, endpoint security, etc)
