Responsibilities

• Apply a risk-based approach to cyber security activities.
• Coordinate penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
• Identify and solve security problems.
• Administer and manage cyber security solutions.
• Assist in reviewing internal processes for improvement.
• Contribute to the Cyber Security Awareness program.
• Identify new technologies to enhance security and reliability.
• Conduct risk assessments and privacy assessments.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Improve cloud security and web application security.
• Update and test Incident Response plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and Information Services (IS) teams.
• Research and implement countermeasures for the latest security threats.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents.

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on cyber security experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, and Defender for Cloud.
• Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
• Interest in further developing Cyber Security skills.
• Experience developing security guidelines and monitoring controls.
• Knowledge of security tooling and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python is a plus.
• Broad knowledge of the cyber security landscape.
• Proven work experience as a Cyber Security Specialist.
• Ability to research current and emerging issues.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, CRISC, SSCP, CEH.
• 4+ years of experience in administering and managing cybersecurity solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender and Sentinel is a plus.
• Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, cloud security, and SOC/Incident Response.

Special Requirements

• Some travel required.
• Participation in on-call rotation.
• Ability to effectively work remotely.
• Valid driver's license required.
